I need a good projector for HDTV. Our house next year has a very large/dark room and Im thinking about getting one.... however, I know nothing about projectors.

What do I need to look for? I want to make sure its HDTV with at least 720 or 1080i - If they even have that for projectors? Also needs to be a widescreen projector..

Any input?

there was a damn good one for around 600 bucks, 720p awsome picture quality and yada... I might be too lazy/drunk to look it up for you right now though.

Pretty sure it was a mistubishi one though. Could probably snoop around AVSforum and find it pretty easily.

anything cheap and 720p is going to be a DLP

optoma hd70 or mitsubishi HD1000
