I am thinking about signing up as an individual to be placed on a team at the SoccerDome for the summer league. I have played soccer for over 13 years, played classic growing up, and high school soccer too. Haven't played as much of late due to school, but I was wondering if anyone knew of the seriousness of the Open Men's A league... If it is a bunch of ex-college butchers out there then I think I will stick with the B, but I want to play in a serious league. Can someone please let me know what their experiences have been like. Thanks. 4/19/2007 3:15:10 PM |

Difference between the two is pretty huge.
All the guys I know who play on indoor leagues played their whole lives, through high school for a bunch of them. And they are all B-leaguers. A league is SUPER competitive 4/19/2007 3:20:12 PM |

yeah, Noen is right. I had a team in A league a few years ago. There were some ex-college players as well as some hispanic semi-pro guys (that's what my honduran teammates told me anyway.) We had a losing record, and it almost wasn't fun because I felt I had to take it so seriously in order to compete. The next seaon we went B-league and it was still competative but more fun to me. So i guess it's up to your personal preference. I just hate those vultures that wait around for a team to need players and then come in and are doing rainbows into 60 mph volleys into the back of the net, off the kick-off. (This really happened, and I got rainbowed over)

All the guys minus one, sucka
I play A league
always have
always will
and the difference between kids who played in college and those who didn't is not skill, it's dedication.
If I had been as dedicated to the game in late High School and early college as i am right now, I could've played anywhere.
