awesome, i've been waiting for this to come out.

i'm reading the book right now. the stories throughout the trilogy are great but very different (the movies are only loosely based on the books). i'm looking forward to seeing how they adapt this movie. either way it should be a suprise.

OMG except the books were 10x better, and very different, which they always are, but it was a bit of a letdown because I had already read them before I ever saw any of the Bourne movies. So to me they were just another garbage Matt Damon action movie...

I read the books long ago. Somehow, I read the Supremacy first and liked it (surprising considering I never liked any other Ludlum book). Then I read Identity which had a lot in common with the Supremacy. Ultimatum was just plain boring.

I saw Identity in parts and it was nothing compared to the book.

Agreed, the car chase scenes were awful. Movie was good otherwise, except for killing off Franka Potente (which probably happened in the book too, I dont know, but still...)

i'm interested to see how they do the third, considering the storyline of the third was based around sub-plots of the first two that weren't developed in the movies (if i remember correctly)

^yeah they pretty much cut out the major antagonist of the 1st and 2nd books (the assasin Carlos the Jackal). It'll be interesting to see if they decide to include him finally because he is basically the plot of the entire third book.

nope didnt happen in the 2nd book, I'm not done with the 3rd book yet but as of yet she is still alive. Alexander Conklin (CIA-Treadstone head played by Chris Cooper) didn't die either in the first book like in the movie and he has had a major role in the 2nd and 3rd books.

there is sort of a 4th book but it wasnt written by ludlum, cuz ludlum is dead. Has to do with Bourne having a son from a prior marriage. Bourne thought the son was dead, but the son is definitely not dead. The son is out to kill Bourne.


good book, but not likely to become a movie. In the books Bourne is married to Marie and they have a family.
