I just bought an olevia lcd hdtv. i dont have cable at my place, but i plugged in my old rabbit ear antenna and did a channel search and it only found a few stations (pbs, nbc, and fox). it cant find any other channel and some of the digital channels dont work. do i need a new/more powerful antenna?

You need a TV with a built-in HD tuner and a proper antenna.

it has a built in tuner. it picks up a few digital channels over the air with the regular crappy rabbit ears

most digital/HD channels over the air are on the UHF bands.. Rabbit ears are designed for VHF, so you're probably picking up the low end of the UHF spectrum.. go buy a decent amp'd UHF antenna (a lot these days will say HDTV antenna) and you should be able to pick up the other networks..

Edit: Aim the antenna towards Garner (where all the xmit towers are except PBS)
