I switch the box to 2 channel and the output is fine. 5.1 from any other source on my receiver is fine. Just wondering if it's my box or the service.

on our 8300, we sometimes have to switch to 2 channel then back to dolby digital just to get the sound to output in 5.1 DD. Sometimes it gets stuck in 2 channel even with a 5.1 channel source, but that quick change seems to fix the problem.

^^mine did that the other day...ive been on 2 channel now, havent tried to switch it back yet
