Whats the best looking/best featured/most capable etc diesel car or truck in your opinion?

they don't sell it here but the 335d m-sport bimmer.

BMW diesels are sweet,
Audi offers a 3.0 Tdi in the new a5 and has a great 4.0L v8 diesel in the a8 that they sell in europe, and VW also offered the 5.0L v10 in the phaeton in europe, which I think was the pick of the range, compared to the (gasoline) 4.2L v8 and 6.0 w12 engines. They only offered the diesel v10 here in the touareg...

and the new q7 is going to have a crazy v12 that has 500hp and 700 lbft, which a few people are hoping becomes the optional engine in the r8 instead of a bigger displacement, lower specific-output version of the lambo gallardo v10...
