Maybe he was just icing it as a prevention measure. Ever seen an MLB pitcher after he throws 100+ pitches? He's got his arm in an ice sling making sure it doesent swell to cause injury. Perhaps DE really exerted himself in practice and the trainers thought he should put it in a sling to prevent any swelling injury?

Marcus Stone was garbage in both of the spring games I saw him play QB in. As was Jay Davis. Evans is better than both of them put together if you're going off how they looked in the spring game.

i didn't get to go to the red/white game, but by the looks of the stats, evans looked like the standout performer

maybe it would have been a different story if the other QB's had the 1st team O against the 2nd team D, although I thought they rotated anyways

doesn't worry me. he may be the frontrunner for starter but i think we have better qb's in burke and beck anyway.

i'll support whoever o'brien decides to go with though. at least until they start sucking really bad every game and no change is made.

also kay yow is looking SO MUCH BETTER, got to talk with her and shake her hand (which she didn't want to do during the womens tournament in case of giving away a bug or something like that, so she is probably doing much better)

good to hear. although unlike sidney's predecessor, red tom's predecessor's problem wasn't not caring about the unc game, but not being able to beat piss poor unc teams.

let's hope red tom can have some success vs. davis before he pz's out for a real football program.

haha he and fowler both had a few jokes

they both made fun of the BC/State game this year

fowler told everyone to send a message to 101.5 thanking them for picking up state, making a joke saying we definitely knew how to use the internet, but to use it in a positive way and thank them, something like that

joked around when someone asked if he would (sarcasticly) enjoy going back to BC, saying he would want to try to organize a group to go up there, "that he would need the help"

pretty funny guy, but unless he is talking outloud to a bunch of people, he is a pretty quiet guy

she wasn't worried about giving away anything, she was more worried a/b the fact that chemo left her immune system defenseless and didn't want to catch anything (even something minor like a cold could have wrecked her)

You're right. DE did look the best but that means nothing as far as who gets the nod from Red Tom. You have to admit that DE had the benefit from our 1st team OL matched up against mostly 2nd team DL. Burke/Beck had 2nd team OL against mostly 1st team DL. That may have contributed. You really cant draw any sound conclusions from the spring game: ya gotta see each QB with the 1st team OL throwing to 1st team WRs. Only Red Tom and his staff get that privalege...

Lets not forget that Beck switched over for most of the third and fourth quarter (except the last couple drives of the fourth quarter they put DE back in), and Beck's numbers didn't get any better

i don't even know that much about beck honestly, but i was definitely expecting burke to come in and be better than evans.

and i think that ultimately he will, but who knows. o'brien may just decide to recruit a top qb to come in and start in 2008 and just stick with evans for one more year.
