I have an old desktop I'm dicking around with, and I think the hard drive is fucked up. It takes about 14 hours to format it for a new install (HD is small, maybe 30 G) and has been acting real buggy when I can get it working. I dont want to up and buy another HD only to find out that it's something else, so I was hoping someone may have an older HD I could borrow and test it out and see if it installs quick and clean and that my computer works after doing so. Thanks.

i tried a quick format, and it got through it, and started to install, but restarted. I let it sit through the time to reformat, and installed Windows, but everything is going very slow and I dont feel like its the memory. I'm going to try to run a disc checker or something, try to see if it's errored all to hell.
