If anyone wants to take the time, there are live recordings of some of these songs all over the internet.

don't worry, your usual people are on the stakeout.
Looks like they are keeping the details on this album very last minute, so I bet we won't hear anything for at least a month and a half.

Pitchfork is streaming "Pioneer To The Falls" right now. Much better than the Heinrich Maneuver but I'm really not digging it.

^same here. I saw them at the orange peel and disco rodeo. And while the Orange Peel show (with secret machines) was one of the best shows I've ever seen, the disco rodeo show was fairly dull. I actually thought blonde redhead sounded better to be honest.

not to mention, this album isn't all that exciting

Overall, the album isnt that bad. Not very distinctive. When I listened to "Heinrich Maneuver" I thought it was going to be Antics all over again but the album is a little darker overall.

schoolkids has the album for 14.99 on sale now, and the special edition for 21.99. if you buy the album here, it comes with a free 7-inch "heinrich maneuver" single.

ok that's enough advertising for today.

agreed, def darker and less of an in-your-face-crazed pop sound

it will be interesting to see where they go form this, a dark album could push them into possibly a heavier sound

it's gotta suck when you're being judged against an album as perfect as turn on the bright lights.

I saw them tonight in coral gables, rocked the house.

Evil was amazing.

Pioneer to the Falls is the perfect song to open with.

the openers were good, the liars. their best songs were when the 2nd guitar player was on a second set of drums. they were pretty psychedelic.

Carlos D is pretty much the man.

almost got a setlist, the guy beside me got it :'C

meh

seen them twice

first time at the orange peel was one of the greatest shows i've ever been to

second time at the ritz was borderline awful

and this was a few years before their latest, meh-worthy album

i saw them tuesday night in orlando and loved the set choice and the performance as a whole.

^^^ i was at that ritz/disco rodeo show and didn't see anything meh about it. i enjoyed it less than this show, but i had a good spot for this one with a clear view.

i saw the aforementioned orange peel show a couple years ago and was blown away.

i then saw them at norva this summer. they played alright, but the sound was all wrong. not to mention, the new album is pretty meh.
