i never really understood the kentucky derby. Everyone gets hyped up and they have a pre-race show, you would probably pay at least nascar prices to go and everything, then 1 lap and its over. Seems kind of unfulfilling to me, maybe if they had topless girls riding the horses afterward it would make up for it though.

whats the easiest bet to win, dont care about a big payout. if you bet on the derby on bodog, you get free entry into a 10k tournament

yeah, but is the softest wager the 'show'? Or is there some other wager thats even softer than that

and what the hell is the payout if i place a show bet? does it depend on if the horse gets 1st/2nd/3rd?

go with a place on street sense to make easy money

Hard spun should take an early lead but fall off late

I am actually going with Cowtown cat as my previous, first post stated.

I reallllllllllly like my money on Tiago though which is who im goin big on to win some $$

Although its been stated that Sedgefield has had the best workouts of any horses on the track this week.

so there ya go, be safe go with street sense, but the money maker is tiago, sedgefield has been workin well and yet Scat Daddy has something about him I like.

Win means he places first
Show means he places either first or second
Place means to be third, second of first
then you get into boxes and trifectas and stuff like that, stuff that is tough tough to call

Nothing would make me happier than seeing the Wings/Sharks game go two or three overtimes and pre-empt all the pre-race crap.

Has anyone ever gone to the Kentucky Derby? Seems like it could be a really good time. Apparently it gets pretty crazy there.

I was gonna go this year but having an exam lateeeee yesterday threw me all off.

I have been to one and the infield is nothing but a huge party all day long, just a huge bash. The girls are incredible and its just really amazing. Its like a classy nascar race really.

I would advise anyone to go, its a great place. If you cant get there go to Lexington in the fall its not as big but certainly just as fun.

Let me just say everyone should make one trip to Kentucky for the derby. Since most if not all on here are in college and aren't rich I would say...go to the infield....the best infield party EVER.

bttt

I like Orb.

There are some really fun prop bets like will the winning jockey have a J in their name. Will the track record be broken, etc.

im sure ESPN has a broadcast.

TVG will be the one to watch though if you have that on your package.

Much better analysis and less feel good stories.
