Depends on if you have anything to actually put in it.
But yes. I would put it in there. 5/7/2007 8:20:32 PM |

activities/honors
where you put a few of your most recent items that are meant to act as a mental hook and hopefully make you memorable to the interviewer.
eventually, if things go according to plan, Eagle Scout will get bumped off the bottom of that list.
but for now its cool.
well, its not cool, its dorky.
but its cool in a resume way 5/7/2007 8:41:54 PM |

Yes--in the activities and honors section. Perhaps you will reap the benefits of the halo effect. Good luck. 5/9/2007 12:17:44 AM |

simply put, being an eagle scout conveys an admirable quality about your character.........put it on there
but as you get older, as said above, stop putting it on there 5/9/2007 12:43:14 AM |

I would probably list it briefly unless it looks like you are trying to fill space. You never know how something like that might improve an employer's attitude to you. The best thing that could happen is your interviewer be a eagle scout or former boy scout and think better of you for it. The worst thing that would happen is that they don't consider it. I still list some of my awards from playing golf in high school because it's likely that an interviewer may be a golfer too and it creates a connection in that way. But they are at the very end of a list of over 30 honors/activities, so it's something that adds to the pot on top of my outstanding academic credentials and previous work experience. I hope the interviewer will think "wow, this kid really is smart and qualified and is a person too." 5/9/2007 5:05:57 AM |
