it doesnt have a lab that goes along with the class but there is a pchem lab. The class is demanding but depending on her instructor the class can either be extremely difficult or very intuitive. I took during the reg session and had to work really hard but then again summer classes tend to be easier....Seriously it really depends on the instructor for the class 5/9/2007 1:53:09 PM |

Honestly, it's a dificult course either way you take it. Some instructors use the approach of an engineering class that is heavy on homework and the final. My bet is that if your don't like 2+ hours of homework everynight then it will suck big time.
The other instructor teaches a very interesting and intuitive lecture. The homework is not that bad, but in that class they will get you on the exams.
And yes, I have heard that it is a little more easier during the summer. 5/9/2007 4:06:40 PM |

Go with Dr. Sremaniak if you can. 5/10/2007 12:13:54 AM |

I took it last summer, it wasn't bad at all, I would take it in the summer if I was her, I've heard a lot of people talking this past spring and they seemed to be struggling with the class, so I think summer is much better. 5/11/2007 9:16:14 PM |

is it similar to an engineering thermo class? 5/12/2007 2:24:42 AM |

^It covers thermo, but also equilibria, kinetics, quantum mechanics, etc. 5/12/2007 12:21:54 PM |
