I have a lot of car magazines taking up space on my bookshelves, where my books should go... Make offer, or come take them (I live in Cary). Anyone, please. I don't want to throw them away, they're good stuff. Ahmet 5/10/2007 12:26:15 AM |

Damn I could've used this stuff when I was doing history term papers on the auto industry. Alas, I'm pretty sure D.H. Hill has all of this archived 5/10/2007 7:47:16 AM |

I just bought 3 huge lateral files to house mine. I've definitely got some lost issues. I'd be happy to take 'em all off your hands next thurs. I can't get 'em any earlier b/c of exams out here in w-s
I'd be willing to discuss purchasing an option to buy from you for some short period if you need an incentive to hold onto them until I can pick 'em up. again, probably ~1week

can you give some descrip of what you've got?
C&D, R&T, Top gear, autocar, autoweek, motor trend, Car, top gear, excellence (don't lie, I know you love the porkers), bmw driver, sport compact car?
I esp love evo, if you've got any. I buy that one so often I might as well get a subscription
but they make you pay UK newsstand price (so does autocar, which is weekly!)....
evo:overseas subscrips: (in case anyone wondering) https://secure.widearea.co.uk/dennis/campaigns/4795/SOCC.html (GBP)78.20 evo US subscrip* (1.98352 GBP/USD http://www.xe.com)= US$155.11 155.11/12 issues=$12.93/issue buying evo at borders is $10.25/issue

in case anyone interested in autocar, you have to get it sent via ewa, some 3rd party seller of scale models: http://www.ewa1.com/cgi-bin/sshp/shop.cgi?ud=AwEBBwQDDAQHBxQVHBMTFQQFAQ8JBg4EBgARFgAA&storeid=1&c=search.htm&categories=020 http://www.autocar.co.uk/ $225/yr via sub-2nd-class (wtf that is)= $225/52=$4.33/issue (I'm actually thinking of subscribing again..)

Yeah, I've still got all of them. I flipped through one of my old Road/Track's the other day, so nice to read about cars that came out in the 90s. So I want somebody to take these from me, with a donation to their current owner... Ahmet 5/17/2007 1:14:04 AM |

[ebay feedback] excellent seller! Rapid payment! do business with him!!!!! [/ebay feedback]
Wow, not what I was expecting. I spent an hour just sifting through them. If it all had been Road and Track, C&D, and Automobile, I probably would have just sorted and filed them away with the rest since I'm familiar with most back issues even though I didn't keep all of them. A lot of the others though, like Vw Driver, European Car, and sport compact car, since I only recently started reading those titles and they aren't directly tied to the mainstream auto news, there's a ton of fresh content there! I'll be reading those over the course of a few months like it's my own automotive news time machine. thanks.
Every once in a while when I grab an old issue of something, I'll have a distinct memory of the first time I read it like "huh, august 2000... oh right, I read that the day before I loaded up the car to go to Purdue to start undergrad (xfer back to state in '02). Man I tore my room up that night getting everything packed." 5/21/2007 10:25:57 AM |

Yea, I knew you'd like that stuff. I'm glad somebody who can appreciate it got them.
Please do donate the ones you're not keeping to a library or something when you get done.
Cally wally, I never read about the e36 M3/4, nothing I heard about them convinced me either. It was living w/the POS' that made me like them so much. +1 Ahmet 5/21/2007 2:47:26 PM |
