this will be the game i buy the wireless wheel for! its awesome. I am dissapointed with the demo though simply cause you can't try the game out with realistic damage....but i guess thats why they call it a demo.

What's the difference in driving mechanics between Forza and PGR?

realism

seriously though, the driving mechanics is so much more in-depth in Forza. You can drive and view pretty much any data on your car at the same time. Such as tire contact patch, updates in real-time through cornering, braking, acceleration etc....

You can also drive with the Circle of Traction up and monitor that in real-time...

along with suspension, temps, etc. etc.

PGR is great and all but its more geared towards arcade style fun. Forza is like the GTR2 for PC...its geared towards track junkies and race enthusiasts.

it got a 8.9 on IGN, i thought it would be higher.

IGN is blocked at work so could anyone tell me what stopped it from getting over a 9?

i have the game and its a lot better than the demo. Not even comparable IMO. I think IGN gave it bad graphics for some odd reason. Which is retarded because the game looks beautiful. The career and online career is great. It doesn't feel repetitive and boring like a lot of career in-depth racing sims. I would definitely recommend buying it.

I'm loving this game. Picked it up the other day at CC to get a free game with it it.

Haven't had hardly anytime to play it since they got me in the office all the time now, but I've gotten at least a few hours in the past few nights and its fun as hell.

As far as being super technical, it can be if you want it to be, tweaking the gears and shift ratios and such. But for me and most people I've talked to, its basically just a matter of upgrading by adding horsepower, better brakes, bodykits, etc...Basically each car is ranked from 0.0 to 10.0 in 5 categories- Speed, acceleration, brakes, handling and rarity. Each part will show you which category and how much it boost your car in before you buy it, so its really not complicated at all. A lot of races are class restrictive, meaning that you can only upgrade your cars below a certain threshold to be eligible.

The graphics are very good, I don't understand all the complaining with them. I assume most people here have an HDTV to go with their 360's. Career mode is where the meat of the game is, but online is fun with racing and auctioning cars. I definitely reccommend it to anyone who like driving games even a little.

And yeah the MR2 is in the game, its the 1995 Toyota MR2 GT.

^^me!!! i picked one up the other day. and holy shit! its so much better. almost feels like the real deal. almost! I love how the steering feels different between each car and how you can really feel the torque steer, under steer, over steer etc from the force feed back. Plus left foot braking and rolling on the throttle is so much easier now. So is sticking to your line haha.

^^lap but i had to clamp the wheel to a piece of wood first so that it was on a solid base. I don't have a coffee table so lap is the only option for me. As for peddles, i put them on the carpet and as long as i'm wearing shoes or bare feet (no socks) its fine

thats cool, the more i read, the more i wanna use one but thats about the only game id use it for...do all the cars really handle differently (like force feedback and whatnot) with the wheel?

oh hell yeah. thats the best part! The Honda/Acura Integra is probably the best car in game for easy neutral handling. You can power through turns with no under/over steer. Places you would normally have to lightly tap the brake with most cars to settle the car before taking ess type curves, you don't have to, you can full throttle through it. then when you hope in a 70's 911. Its a nightmare! haha but i've really got the hang of it. very little oversteer in the 911 when you left foot brake and roll on the throttle as you exit an apex.

I've been playing since day one with only ABS enables but no stability control or traction control.

Got it the other day, so far the wheel has been good to me.

I couldn't imagine driving some of those cars without ABS, traction control, and stability control.

Even more so with damage turned on.

did the whole 3-xbox for 180 degree split screen thing make it into the final game?

Has anyone been baller enough to try it out yet? If it made it, my next big payday may be going toward 3x 37" lcd's and 2 more 360's to try this feature

^^cheater =P haha. seriously though, it is really difficult without traction and stability control but i love it that way. more of a challenge. Once you get the hang of it its pretty simple adjusting from car to car.

^^ It's there as far as I know and supports 5 screens with 5 360s in tandem - you need 5 copies of the game (one for each 360), though.

Haha Golovko I made myself a cheater even more by turning on full lines, breaking and acceleration.

Hey it is all about the fun, right? You know full 140 mph's into the wall and still making the turn? That is how I drive in the real world.

if i had a brake pedal i would but.... i don't and i can't modulate that damn left trigger for sh*t
but i'll be damned if you don't make mad $$

i also leave damage as limited because i got rear ended in one of the early races and made almost nothing cause of it... and it wasn't even my fault.

I use the controller,

Wheel people, how do you like it ? do you use table mount or lap mount?
i wIIIIIIIsh they would put a friggin clutch in a game.
it would make it much easier to launch my ridiculesly high hp cars w/ no traction control

it is but i guess with the Xbox360 they chose to go another way. Logitech has a wheel with a clutch peddle system. Even the Ferrari Challenge arcade game has a clutch =)
