Good news for the AL East....Beckett left the Red Sox game after 4 innings with a blister. if you recall, he missed much of 2 seasons with blisters.

How's that bullpen working out for your guys.

I mean does this really deserve it own thread. He will miss one or two starts probably but thats it the rest of the team is pitching well, Lester is due to come back in the next 2 weeks. It sucks but thats part of baseball. Being happy somebody is injured is bad karma.

I've never understood how Beckett would have these blister problems every year. He needs to pee on his hands a la Alou/Posada. Regardless, the Red Sox are getting close to leaving every AL East team in the mirror.

The Orioles, Jays, and Devil Rays flat out suck and the Yankees 'easy' part of the schedule is behind them. I really think the Sox could have a 10-11 game lead by next Monday. Everyone knows once the Yankees get healthy their play will improve but if you fall behind too early by too much it doesn't matter how well you play in the second half (ask Philadelphia year after year after year).

People with $$. If you're a knuckle-dragging bottom feeder than it probably doesn't appeal to you.

I hope this blister is not a big issue because I want the Red Sox to run away with the AL East and I want the Yankees to miss the playoffs.

Now Shill just needs to break his ankle again, and we're in business.

If Josh Beckett pitched for the A's he would be like 2-6 on the year..... He's lucky he has great bats behind him to help hide his flaws...

the A's have some pretty good bats...not like the Sox, but some good bats

Oakland and Boston will both make the playoffs, as well as Detroit and Minnesota

imo
