You mean you're having trouble with programming in general? It's been forever since I've taken fortran, but I made an A in the class. It's not that hard. Programming is not that hard. The only effort required on your part is learning the syntax of the language, and as long as you have the book for the class you can easily look up whatever it is that you need.

"final repeat"

= you get to retake the exam so you can graduate. it is not the same as retaking the class, you morons. aboor could've done well in the class and miserably on the final for all you know. stfu unless you have a serious response.

Up until my recent graduation, I was a TA since 2004. I would still be happy to help you out though, PM me or my ex co-TA, pimpmaster.

on a somewhat related subject...I am a senior in a completely unrelated major to CSC, but the thought has recently crossed my mind that I might try and get a masters in comp sci. What would be a good course to take or audit to get a good grasp on programming? java?

To answer your question, my friend, you ABSOLUTELY need the following courses in order to be accepted into the Master's program in CSC:

1) csc 116
2) csc 216
3) csc 226
4) csc 236
5) csc 246
6) csc 316

Good luck, either way.

Thank god you work with partners in CSC 116. I talked my teacher into letting me out w/ a C, but I still have no clue how to write a program.
