Who do you like or side with more? I am on Sosa's side....Sure he claimed the whole "I can't speak English shit" but you gotta love him. I guess since he took some time away, which maybe we see as an admission of guilt, and he doesn't draw the media like Bonds does now. Sosa coming back into MLB and doing as well as he is, to me, is a bigger story than Bonds fakely chasing Hank.

Sosa's a joke

He just came back to hit 600

That club will double in the next 5 years

Manny, Arod, Griffey for sure

Thome, Delgado, Thomas, Sheffield have a chance

Andruw and Vladdy further out

I think Sosa came back for more than that. Hell the guy is loaded, and I dont think 600hrs means shit to him. I think he just came back to prove the doubters wrong. But I could be wrong....But, he is proving them wrong. Nobody gave him a chance, and even this old, and out of the league for the time he was, he is having a great year, once again....

i am surprised sosa is doing as well as he is actually. He's almost surpassed his production from 2 years ago in 1/3 of the games. I know a bunch of analysts were getting on his case about being harmful to his team b/c he was only hitting about .220 then and they said he was just going for 600. But at this moment hes hitting .273 with 9 homers and 30 RBI. For a guy thats been outta the league for over a year, thats not half bad.

^^although i wouldn't call the year hes having "great" by any means.

I figure Bonds draws more media attention because he is close to breaking the all time HR record

Look at how Sosa treats the media and how Bonds treats the media. They're both guilty, but even when Sosa got nailed with the corked bat, he acknowledged the mistake and said he accepted the penalty

The hell with Bonds, he doesn't deserve to break the record. I know I have stated this in other threads, but the guys back in the day deserve the titles a lot more than these juiced up boys today. I have more of a problem with Bonds than Sosa because Bonds is going for a bigger title.

What about Griffey, has there ever been any roids issue around him? I'm asking because he seems like the kind of guy that wouldn't take them. For example, probably could have taken them when he was injured for back to back years and healed quicker, but had a long recovery instead. Any thoughts on Griffey?

I really respect Griffey, there was a rumor within the last 18 months that Bonds shared a revelation with him way back in 99 after Mgwire/Sosa about juicing because he was tired of the hoopla those two received. Bonds shoudl be paying Griffey to keep his mouth shut. What ever happened to that guy that is doing time for not revealing the truth about Bonds tot he authorities?

I personally don't have an issue with steroids but I understand why a lot of people do. Sosa is an idiot and got caught cheating, Bonds has yet to be caught with anything. Bonds wins.

I put this in every thread that comes up about Bonds, I don't understand how there are so many people out there that don't know the situation that like to go around claiming we don't actually know that he's taken steroids or that he hasn't been caught. Pay attention, do some research, or just remember the following:

Barry Bonds has admitted to taking both the cream and the clear, although he claims he did not know what it was he was doing. Barry Bonds has tested positive for amphetamines.

There is no longer a question of whether or not he has taken steroids. He has taken them. He has admitted he took them, and he has tested positive for amphetamines. End of speculation.

i guess i've just been spoiled by having such a great baseball ambassador as hank aaron holding the record that the mere thought of bonds getting it makes me physically ill. he's just such a huge asshole and doesn't give a shit about the fans or the media. i'm sure some people love that about him, but for me its just one more reason to hate him
