But srsly. they need one hell of a reason for jack to come back to make this a top notch series again. we have had a nuke go off on US soil...uhhh, wtf else is gonna grab our attention to the series better than that?

it would be wild and crazy if they had a terrorist group crash planes in a building. They could even name it Al Quida. This way, they get both the 24 fans and people who think they're watching CNN. Ratings go up. Win Win

didn't realize last night was even the finale....weak season, but i liked it, it started out really really well

maybe they had to do this so we would recognize greatness again. ok, not really, but think about it this way, it HAS to have more Bauer ass kicking than this season, the few times he really let loose this season were freaking awesome but it was few and far between.

and somewhere away from CTU might be a welcome change too, like another country, maybe jack can get older and turn into a sam fisher type character

Kim is a really annoying character. The middle of Season 1 with all that Kim/Teri kidnapping bullshit was close to knocking that season down a couple of pegs in my opinion. She was also annoying in the interaction with Chase

i really want them to keep the love angles out of this

kim's love bit nearly made me quit watching

the love doves that always seem to appear at CTU piss me off too

and for the love of christ, make it more believable in terms of the support jack bauer has when doing something. every single season they've ordered him not to do something and he breaks the order and saves the day. you would think they'd understand that by now and actually let him run things

i started watching 24 in the middle of S4, and I really liked it and Season 5. But Season 6 sucked balls, and i really can't even recall if I finished it.

Just this week I've gone back to the beginning and am 1/3'd of the way though S1, and wow, how far this show has fallen. The first few episodes of S1 have it all - good suspense, good action, decent acting, no over the top techno-bullshit, real surprises, harsh violence, realistic language, realistic plotlines, etc. I can see already that most of those were already lost by S5, then S6 just flushed it all down the shitter.

I hope S7 can restore it somehow....

ok, wtf..... when I wrote my first post about how happy i was with S1, I had seen about 8 episodes, and they were great. Then the next 8 were so-so, where Teri and Kim were kidnapped and on the ranch or whatever. It kind of reverted back to the stereotypical villain "just put the girls in a loosely guarded building and send inept guards down there one at a time to look at them". but whatever, it was still cool.

but I just finished S1 Hour 16, where Teri's car slid down a not-so-steep california hillside and inexplicably exploded in a gigantic fireball, then kim inexplicably was found unscratched, neatly buried under some brush and twigs, 30 meters from the car, then Teri passed out and when she woke up she inexplicably has amnesia!!?? WTF, are you serious?
The last 8 hours better pay off....
