gm is actually in a lawsuit over shit like this. auto manufacturers are notorious for setting the speedometer to show faster. this way the mileage builds up quicker and the warranty runs out sooner. 5/25/2007 9:14:32 AM |

have your friend go like 65 on the innerstate and drive directly next to him and read what your speedometer says
i had a hick relative in the mountains of VA do this and he said it worked for him 5/25/2007 7:46:11 PM |

just curious how can you tell what your actual speed is to know that it is wrong.....surely you can't just feel a difference of 3-4 mph
i know good gps can do it pretty accurately though 5/25/2007 11:12:09 PM |

i went to the airport and they have those radar things on the side of the road and they tell you how fast you're going 5/26/2007 8:49:28 AM |

you know those radar things are not 100% correct, right? The best way is to probably have someone drives beside you, or GPS. 5/26/2007 9:03:22 AM |

oh for fuck's sake you're basing an error of maybe 3 mph on some roadside speed checking machine? that is weak man, those radars might get faulty readings from other cars around you or the shape of your car or anything.........you will rarely ever see a cop stop someone for going 3 over the speed limit because there is a range of error on these things, especially with one that is sitting on the side of the road and for all you know might not even be pointing right at you.....5/26/2007 7:58:40 PM |
