I am soon moving away from my girlfriend for my career and was wondering what is the best way to set up an online conference type of situation so we can talk online and see each other while we are apart.

obviously cheaper is better, but i need a system that will work well.

conference? just use IM.
Skype, AOL IM, Yahoo, etc all support video chat.

if you have a Xbox 360 and she has MSN you can both communicate from PC to Xbox360 via web cam and headsets. I do that with my brother in Germany.

you also need to sign up for a MSN account (its free, just like AIM) and log in to your xbox MSN with it.
