Had the drive belt on my 2001 toyota changed about 6 months ago at the dealership. Ever since, my engine has a horrible screeching about 75% of the time when i first crank it up and lasts for 10 seconds or so. I had them changed at a dealership out of town so I wasn't able to go back right away and have them correct their mistake. Is this just a case of improperly installed belts and if so how much am i looking at to get it fixed?

tighten up the belt a little bit

if you can change your own oil, brakes, etc, you should be able to do this pretty easily. unless the engine is all funkadelic or something
