I've not had good luck with Sear's jacks. Counting the one's my dad has, we've gone through 3, and one was their 'high end racing jack,' which was anything but...

One of my friends just got that exact same jack from northern, lifted up the front of his 2800 lb car with it and the jack blew out. Pretty lame if you ask me - it looked like a great jack.

best way is yank the door open, hard right to the drivers jaw, then yank em out by the shirt and throw them on the ground. gta style.

Something ain't right when a $140 jack can't properly lift a 2800 lb. car. My cheapass $40 advance jack has reliably lifted my 3800 lb. Lincoln and my 4100 lb. Marauder many times. I wouldn't trust to get under the car with only the jack for support, but...it does its job (i.e. get the car high enough for jackstands) just fine.

i've experienced several Torin jacks that leaked shorty after purchase I would not recommend them. Plus the aluminum one mentioned only jacks to a pitiful 17 inches. The harbor freight jacks aren't that bad even though they are cheap chinese jacks. Try AFF or AC from asedeals.com for some good jacks.
