I have an old ipod with all my music that i want to transfer to my new ipod. Can y'all explain to me in simple terms how to actually do this

I had to do this for my girlfriend who got a new iPod and didn't have the music on her computer. You can't copy it from iPod directly to the other iPod, so you have to copy it to the computer first.

Also, with the iTunes software, you can't restore the music off of the iPod either, so you need a third party application that can do this. I can't remember what program I used (it was for a Mac, anyways)...

rub them together in a clockwise motion. don't go counter-clockwise or you'll erase them
