probably late in the year. i believe they were discussing it having to compete with halo 3 in the 3rd or 4th quarter, but i could be wrong.

the gameplay demo that was released recently didnt do much for me. im not really into atmospheric first person games. studies show that third person gaming makes you feel more connected with the character (dont ask me why). makes it lend itself better to rpg's and atmospheric games.

Looks great, but so far they have only showed the combat parts and cutscenes. I know that is the most exciting parts to put into the trailers, but I'm hoping for lots of NPC interaction. KOTOR was a perfect example, the combat was very fun, but it was only about 20% of your play time.

This is looking like an amazing second half of the year, Bioshock in August, Halo 2 in September, GTA 4 in October, Mass Effect and Assassins Creed in November. Throw in Call of Duty 4 and Guitar Hero 3, and it's looking like a good year for 360 owners.

This game is looking better and better. I like the short choices during dialogue scenes, and then seeing what your character really says. This game looks sweet.

Bioware made Baldur's Gate/Baldur's Gate II which are the best "western" RPGs ever made. I will always pay attention to what they are doing because of this.

Typically, I'm not much of an RPG guy either, but this one has definitely piqued my interest

Maybe its the guns and aliens as opposed to the wizards and swords in most RPGs.

Well Mass Effect has been done for a while, so EA can't screw that one up. And Microsoft has already paid for a trilogy, so hopefully EA can't screw those up too much either.

I think if Obsidian were given the oportunity to greate their own game (rather than just sequels) they would be quite good. They are mostly made of former Black Isle talent.
