Other universities that have signed options to host games include Purdue, North Carolina State and the aforementioned universities in Knoxville and Tuscaloosa. AAFL clubs will use existing stadiums and facilities at each college." |

Ok, so i couldn't find a thread about this earlier so if there was one, sorry. Anyway, I thought i would ask TWW if they knew anything more about this and what they thought. I heard about the AAFL before but i didn't know they were going to be playing here.
For those of you who don't know, AAFL =All American Football League and it is basically a new Pro league that plays in the Spring and requires it players to have actually graduated.6/6/2007 1:52:25 AM |

hmmm, they could be on to something here... obviously it wont be anywhere near the NFL but I like this part:
Quote : | "he League will employ all players
and coaches and will establish a system of allocating talent among the Teams, striving to match players with their alma mater." |
I mean, in the spring, I would rather watch some recent graduates from Tennessee/Bama/Florida/State etc who didnt make it in the NFL but who were good in college play each other than I would the NBA or NHL6/6/2007 9:42:38 AM |

While I also like the premise, the league is destined to fail financially.
They expect to get $30 a ticket for minor league games & expect to pay players 100k a year, including healthcare.
Anyone with any business sense knows that will fail miserably.
That's why they can't get any owners to buy franchises, which is why the league has been pushed back already.

Dear Mr. Klosterman(s),
I don't want to go see a team quarterbacked by Darian Durant call Carter-Finley "home".
Thanks,
