Hey, so I just bought some 6.5"" front speakers and a new CD player for my 93 Toyota Camry. Unfortunately, Best Buy says it'll cost like $200 more to install this stuff. Does anyone know of anyplace where I could get it done more cheaply? 6/8/2007 11:24:29 AM |

They didn't offer free installation?
Several people on here will do it much cheaper than a shop could do it for. 6/8/2007 2:20:00 PM |

if you have a screw driver and the harness, installing your CD player and speakers is so easy. i could probably do it for some $$$.
The only tough part is you might have to solder some wires together or have the special little thingy to put some wires together. 6/10/2007 1:36:07 AM |

Post a thread in the garage classifieds, offering a six pack of beer and $50 for somebody to do it for you.
That would be cheaper and somebody will probably bite. 6/10/2007 2:07:33 AM |

it's pretty simple, but if you don't have power windows, those speakers aren't fitting up front. I have a 93 camry, I had to make some adapters out of mdf to get my 5" circles to fit up front. the headunit however is simple. just make sure to buy one of those harness adapters at walmart so you don't butcher the oem one. http://www.carstereoremoval.com/htm/stereoremovalToyotaCamry92_96P.htm 6/10/2007 10:29:39 AM |
