I registered one in the early 90s when it was free. I had it a year or two until netshole sent me a bill and I told them to sod off.

hell yeah, it was mass storage ... infinite one might say. (given enough time and Maxell HD 90 minute cassettes.)

I even plugged the no-record holes with spitwads and recycled my cousin's hand-me-down ABBA collection. got some Wolfenstein on that IIRC.
