I am thinking about signing up for a consumer membership for 24.95... any thoughts? P.s. I don't like doing car repairs without pictures b/c I am not quite experienced enough to know what the hell I am doing unless it is common maintenance, example: cleaning out the throttle body, oil change, minor electronics, etc. 6/8/2007 9:43:47 PM |

i use it, it is nice especially if you have some wiring questions for a car that they dont make a haynes or chilton manual for. Pay $24.95 for a year print all documents to .pdf organize in folders $profit. 6/10/2007 11:30:47 PM |

if you are only working on your own car(s), you can find the factory service manual(s) online usually, often for free or in PDF form on ebay. They often have more complete info. 6/10/2007 11:33:43 PM |

imo, not worth it unless you do alot of work on alot of different cars on a regular basis.
also, if you're only experienced enough to do very basic repairs you'll probably still find yourself banging your head using alldata. being geared torwards industry professionals, it assumes a certain level of experience/knowledge, despite the diagrams and explanations.
then again, if slowblack96 can use it, anything at or above the intelligence level of a primate should be good to go. 6/10/2007 11:51:33 PM |
