Close to 10 weeks ago, my cat had a litter of kittens. Fortunately I had homes for all of them lined up but now two have fallen through. If you are looking for a very friendly, gentle, healthy, litterbox trained companion for one of your own cats or for yourself, they would be perfect! I have 2 buffy, orange colored boys and a little girl who is all black. The mother is quite petite so I have a feeling the little girl will take after her. Come and take a look! Or PM me if you need more details!

If you can't find anyone by August I'll take the black one, but I don't move to my new place until then. 6/18/2007 8:50:19 PM |

She's yours! I am willing to hold onto her until then for you, so long as I can be assured you will take her come August. Are you interested in coming to meet her at all? 6/20/2007 6:02:22 PM |

I would love to, but I live in Greensboro right now. I don't want you to hold her for me, but I will definitely be the backup. So if someone comes along who wants her, let them have her. If not, I can assure you I will take her in August. 6/20/2007 7:07:29 PM |

Have they had their shots or been fixed? If not, how much would that roughly be?
I might can take one of the orange ones. 6/21/2007 8:43:19 PM |

They have only been de-wormed. I would recommend going to Magnolia Animal Hospital on Capital Blvd. They have fairly cheap prices. They would need at least 3 kitten distempers and rabies. Oftentimes the shelter has rabies clinics where they can be vaccinated for $5 or so. If you are going to keep them as indoor cats only, they would not need to be vaccinated for feline leukemia, which is typically a virus passed around in outdoor, stray cats. Their mother has been tested and was negative. The kittens have not been exposed to the outdoors. So basically you are looking at an office visit which is $25 dollars and a distemper vaccine which is about $23 and then each prior visit you would just be charged a recheck fee which is $15 or so and the cost of the vaccine. As far as spaying or neutering the SPCA offers a great dicount through a voucher service and Magnolia Animal Hospital accepts those, however pain medicine is additional which is typically $12. Although their mother does not have worms and the kittens have been de-wormed it never hurts to deworm again, in which case just go to petsmart pick up something where the main ingredient is strongid and follow the directions!
If that is too much to read just PM me! 6/21/2007 9:45:41 PM |

Alright I hate to sound desperate, but if you thought even just a little bit you might want a kitten or if you know someone who does please please contact me!! I leave for Scotland in a month to live and cannot take these last two kittens with me! If I can't find a home, I don't know if I've got any other option but to take them to the animal shelter and hope for the best. So please contact me if you are at all interested in a new addition! 7/21/2007 11:42:45 AM |

The orange ones were basically twins, not easy to tell apart at all. I think it is the one standing in front of the blue bowl that is left. 7/21/2007 9:41:25 PM |

Are shots and such for a kitten as expensive as all the start up shots for puppies? 7/22/2007 11:27:14 AM |
seachel Veteran 244 Posts user info edit post |
If you are going to keep the kitten indoors only. He'll need 3 kitten distemper vaccines and a rabies. If you keep to the every 4 weeks schedule for the vaccines, you'll pay $80 for shots and $52 for vet visits. Granted these are based off Magnolia Animal Hospital prices where I used to work. I know the SPCA offers a greatly discounted spay or neuter voucher that you pay for through their website and take to the animal hospital and the vet won't charge you. Of course pain medicine is a seperate fee but it isn't more than $10. These guys are old enough where you could get by vaccinating them for distemper, booster it in 4 weeks and then make sure they get re-vac. yearly from then on. So $46 for those two shots. $16 for rabies. $22 for first kitten visit and $15 for a re-check. You can check the SPCA website for neuter/spay prices. 7/23/2007 11:32:59 PM |
