I was just curious of what 500 and 700 level MSE classes are worth taking. I am a grad student in Mechanical Engineering and would like to get a minor in materials.

I was looking to take MSE 712 - Scanning Electron Microscopy in the fall, but wasn't sure how good of a class it was.

Any opinions will be helpful.

It depends on what you plan to do for your research. If you think you will need to do analysis at small scales, you should probably take the class. That, and it's one of the easiest grad level classes at NCSU.
