I'm signed up for ADN 112 next summer session, and I was just wondering if anyone could give me some insight into the projects for that class. Is this meant for beginners..? I'm taking it to fulfill a humanity req, and my teacher is a grad student named Mike Bissinger. 6/22/2007 3:15:50 PM |

its for non-design students, so I assume beginners. That's all I know. I'll be taking it too. 6/24/2007 2:58:14 PM |

i had him last semester and he sucked, I still made a B+, but if i could go back i would Not have taken that class
Basically, its Advanced Cube Making, and the final project is like a lighted diarama that you film with music, it was kind of cool. But if you want to make a good grade in that class you have to basically kiss Mike's ass
If you can get into an easy history i would recommend taking that instead
I just looked at your User Info, and saw you were a girl, so if you just flirt with him a little bit, and give him attention, and Little giggles, etc, you'll prob be fine

I loved ADN112 with Dana Raymond (he's the guy that usually teaches it)
I actually know Mike Bissinger pretty well. He's definitely more of a 2d guy, but I don't see him being a bad teacher for this.
^^Ignore retards comments there. The course changes every semester. And it's not an "easy" class, your grade reflects the time you put into the projects and how well you learn the fundamentals of 3d design.
When I took it, about 1/3 of the class got A/A+, and the rest of the class got B- or C's, with a couple of people failing because they never showed up to class. And it was obvious at the crits who spent the time on their assignments and who put in the bare minimum effort. 7/18/2007 5:04:48 PM |

Mike is an art snob. He really really really enjoys the subject matter, and you can learn a lot about art from him.
The class isn't hard.
cube making ftw. 7/18/2007 5:15:53 PM |

anyone who wants to take an easy history where they really want to learn something but not be bored to death should take HI 252 with Caddell. He makes waking up for an 8am class worth it. 7/27/2007 2:16:29 PM |
