well i always used to use cheats as a kid and just build an insanely powerful empire...

now i'm playing without cheats, and after watching a plethora of action/war movies, i have a greater sense of how to manage my troops and such.

i'm tempted to go out and buy the latest age of empires game.

AOE 3 is not as fun as the AOE 2 and Expansion was IMO. AOE2 and it's expansion was a classic. AOE1 was good too but the enhancements in 2 were needed.

Starcraft is a classic too and I might have to dig it up and run some Zergling rushes or a fleet of Protoss Carrier bombardments.

However the best one is Warcraft 2 and for some reason doesn't run well on my computer.

yeah long bowman for the win. Although the Teutonic knights were pretty 1337 as long as you aren't playing against any enemy who is ranged weapon bias. The Spanish Conquistadors are pretty good aslo
