i'm trying to figure out the title of a movie that was about an island where a scientist created a bunch of monkeys/gorillas that with the ability to learn, which provided hunters more of a sport. the monkeys got too smart and killed everyone. a group of maybe 5 people (including the scientist's daughter) come to the island to find out what happened and slowly get killed. but 2 people survived.

it had to have been made in the late 90s, at the earliest. oh, and i saw it on tv in london (but it was obvious that it was edited for tv)

i can't find anything on google or imdb and now it's bugging me
