In the end though, it's just luck we missed out on him, he had an offer and committed, his not attending NC State had nothing to do with NC State. It's like when UNC (and the rest of the ACC) piles on to us for Washburn. Uh, Dean wanted him like every other coach and was furious we landed him, and then it unraveled.

The fact that we recruited him and he almost came here still makes us look bad. I've heard on ESPN atleast three times when they mention Dukes, they also throw in that he nearly played football at North Carolina State.
