So I mentioned this earlier in a thread, but I don't know how many people really saw it. Graduating sucks sometimes, b/c it messes up your tailgating group. Also I was probably the most hardcore fan of my group of friends during school, so naturally I'm more devoted to continuing the tailgating tradition. I would like to start a tailgating group on here. It would be open to both current students and alumni. Besides home games, the biggest thing about the group would be attending away games. Even when I was a student it was still hard to get many people, that weren't hardcore fans, to spend the money to travel to away games. I guess it was b/c most students like to watch their money. Imagine having 50+ Pack fans all tailgating in one place at another teams stadium. Also the walk to the stadium would be much safer in numbers than if it was just say 2 people. This would come in handy at Maryland and such places. I think either Florida State (most desirable road trip) and/or Wake Forest (closest road trip) would be the most successful start to getting this going for away games. This could also be for basketball road trips as well. I'm really starting to eye that Michigan State game this year.

I'm in if the Pack ever comes to play the Buffs in Boulder.
That's a good idea though. It sucked when I was in school cause I was off campus, engaged, and didn't know anyone.

This is a great idea for people who don't have any real friends to tailgate with.

Or, as he made it pretty clear in his thread, for people who have graduated and their friends from school are either gone or have no interest in going to games anymore, or for people whose friends aren't interested enough to want to travel to away games.

Well after coming to college I didn't really keep in touch with anybody from Charlotte that went to State besides my high school friend and roommate for 3 years. He's not really into sports, even though he does like the Hurricanes. Most of my other good friends in college moved away (NY, CA, etc.), some are still in school, but they will be graduating within the year and probably move away. Also I'd say only a few of them would be likely to continue to regularly attend a few games every year. There are a ton of people that everyone knows will never consider getting season tickets even after they've gotten well established financially. They figure they should go to the games while they are in school b/c they are one paying for it, and two it's a great social event to get drunk at.

ACTUALLY I WOULD RATHER TAILGATE WITH FAGS BECAUSE AT LEAST THERE WOULD BE SOME FAG HAGS AROUND.....

I CAN SEE THE TWW TAILGATE NOW......IT WILL PROBABLY RESEMBLE THE 5 GUYS WHO DO THE ALLTEL COMMERCIAL STANDING AROUND A CASE OF WINE COOLERS AND A PACK OF FROZEN HOT DOGS ARGUING WHY THE MAC IS BETTER THAN THE PC

Well it seems most of the guys that hang out in Sports Talk aren't like some of your more typical TWWers. Most are guys that have played sports in the past and love talking about them. So I doubt it would look much like the Alltel commercials.

Well I've already got a pretty good tailgating group for home games. We usually do a pig roast at least once a year and always have a tent set up for every game. If you're around and need some people to drink some beers with before a game you are welcome to come hang out. But I would be down for a road trip or two fo sho. I'm sure a few of my buddies would be down as well to add to the group.

I really wish the BC game was on Labor Day weekend or something. I wouldn't mind making the road trip to Boston/Chestnut Hill, but that's a long drive for just the weekend.
