95% of what Cringely says is speculation. If you read back over a year's worth of his columns, if all of it had come true, we would all have unlimited internet connections, Google would be our ISP, and we'd each have virtually unlimited HDD storage based on flexible, floppy-disk type technology

I have followed his blog and read all those posts you are talking about, and he never claimed any of that stuff was going to happen within a year.

i'm still waiting for the 150k ibm employees to be let go - so far he's only off by 130-135k give or take
