Currently have cheng shin 140/90-15 marquis tire on rear. I need just the rear tire, not both. How important is it to put the same tire on the rear as front?
Any recomendations on cheap but quality brands?

I'd assume, for unidirectional tires, that matching brands are important.

I'd go for some Michelin Pilots.

I would go with michelin pilots for a little more grippy tire and softer ride, or metzler me880's for a longer wearing tire that still has decent grip, but a little harder ride

i have run both, on the magna i used to get about 4,000 miles out of the rear, and 7,000 out of the front with both, on the fjr, i get about 2000 miles on the rear and 4-5000 on the front with pilots (normal crotch rocket tires arent high enough load capacity and they have serious grip for touring tires)
