I have tried to post on Craigslist for some furniture that I have for sale. Almost immediately after posting, the post is flagged for deletion, and the post NEVER shows up in the Furniture section.

I know I am posting to the correct section, the post includes the price, location, description and dimensions of the furniture, and four pics.

Now under the my account section it shows my post highlighted in pink, which is flagged/deleted.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

I have also tried logging onto the CL discussion forums, and I cant even log into those to post to ask why my posts are immediately flagged for deletion.

where are you posting from?
the same thing happened to me - i was posting from work, which has a German proxy, so it appeared as if I was posting on Raleigh's Craigslist from Germany. It happened to me like 5 times before some of the guys on the forum figured it out.

If it gets deleted almost immediately, that means it is happening by the bot, not by the users. So there is something systematically wrong with your post. Are you posting on the Raleigh CL from inside Raleigh? Do you have a proxy? Are you linking to ebay or something?

btw - you have to create a separate discussion forum account to post on the forum..... it's different from your CL account

I have a gmail address, and I even created a new gmail address for use only for craigslist.

I have a craigslist account and that email address is associated with it, and I'm trying to post to http://raleigh.craigslist.org/

I live in downtown Cary, and I've got TWC RoadRunner, no proxy, only a Linksys wireless access point.

using http://network-tools.com network lookup tool on my external IP address, it gives me the following info:

try it from work or from campus or from a different wi-fi network or something, to see if it's a problem with your location or your account

I have emailed Craigslist support asking the same question, it would be retarded if it really prevented me from posting because the network lookup info said I was in a suburb of Washington DC

craigslist does not prevent you from posting to other cities' boards.

if a proxy or ISP has been repeatedly used for abusive posts or fraud, it may be blacklisted.
