I know a bunch of you still like to play baseball.

I am going to hold tryouts for our fall team (we already have like 5-7 players but need 6 or 7 more) on saturday, at 10 am at Bond Park field 5.

it is a wooden bat, semi pro league with some pretty high competition.

For instance, last season this guy pitched against us after his durham bulls season was over:

So, if you want to play, come on out. Shoot me a PM though so I know how many guys are comin.

i couldnt even field a ground ball the other day at church league softball practice

of course i was wearing my little sisters glove but still everytime i go to scoop one up i have flash backs of getting knocked out and hit in the teeth by bad hops when i was younger

so i wont be trying out

Someone needs to yell "BISCUITS!" after jacking one on him.

Laugh, but that fucker was nasty. 92-93 from the left side with a sick hook.

We also had 2 Venezuelans on our team last year that were throwing 92-94. Not sure what happened to them.

Seriously, come out and play if you are interested. We just want to get 9 competant players out there...we have some good pitching on our team.

I pitched DI, and 2 other guys who pitched DIII are playing too.

Games start september 3rd and there are usually 1 or 2 games a week. Season goes til early november, then playoffs are an additional 2 weeks.

Games are at Optimist Park in raleigh, off of Six Forks road. Really nice field.

I know Mike. I played in that same league a few years ago. Yea, good competition if anyone is interested. Also, I will throw this out there. NC State club baseball tryouts will be in September.

haha, I went yard off of mike porchaska my senior year and in fall ball of that year. He's a good pitcher, though. Didn't even know he was still playing baseball.

I think I'd love to play (I was a pitcher with upper 80's heat and a nice curve), but I just don't know if I have the time. Let me know if you need any more pitchers.

^^ you can never have enough pitching. Come on out!

also, he was quite nasty to face him with wood bats last season. I was 1-for-3, with 2 K's. I only struck out 3 times all season, so it was definitely some sick shit he was throwing.
