if the leg can be moved then it's either magnets or weight - if it can't be moved once the location is selected then it's heavy and bolted in

Strong magnets, steel leg, thickish glass surface. Maybe he sealed it so the magnetic field from the table won't cause too much interference with, say, your pacemaker if you walk by.

That'd be nice of him.

1) That's not real, it's a vray render.

2) I doubt it would hold up someone's body weight.

3) It's very likely just a heavy ass leg and a plastic top. There've been similar designs that can hold a hundred pounds or so
