i mean damn. talking to "kids" about their car is the most annoying thing in the world.

they dont know jack, and just because their boss worked for *insert dealership here* for 10 years and now they work for him (the 10 year *insert dealership* guy) they think they know everything about a car.

the kid had the balls to challenge my knowledge of this car we were looking at.

made him knock off $2000. even without the $2000 off it was still a pretty good price.

just had to rant.

(even some people over 21 shouldnt sell cars. if you dont know anything about the car you are selling, then let someone else sell it. )

well i know the buyer should pay.

but i forgot what the seller and my friend were talking about.

turns out, this car is a flake.

synchros are shot (kid claimed it was an easy clutch job)
rear quarter panel has been fixed
bent valves due to mis-shifting
carfax is fuggged up. clean, but a few alarms.

this kid claimed he thought he told us all this.

it doesn't bother me if someone doesn't know anything about a car, different skills for different people.

it does get on my nerves when people act like they know more about something that they actually do, cars or anything. which seems to be a disease of tww.

There are a lot of things wrong with this thread.

I think instead of "under 21" you should being saying "inexperienced people" should not be selling cars. Using age makes you seem old and cranky. There are many people under 21 who are great with cars.

Now, "inexperienced people" should not be selling cars is even wrong. Inexperienced people should not be working on cars as a service to customers. Inexperienced salesmen are the best because they are easier to manipulate due to the fact they don't know anything about the car. You should know enough about the car you are purchasing to not need the salesman to be your primary source of info. People who know nothing about cars are excluded from this.

What this thread really should say is "I am mad I wasted my time looking at this car and I am going to blame it on something completely unreasonable to make myself feel more superior."

oh no, he is stupid.

he's one of those "oh, uhh, i was gonna tell you about that".

after we pointed out 4-6 things that were wrong with the car.

you are right though, the correct word would be inexperienced. damn thing was a lemon.
