Yeah, most people are fucking stupid. Most people on Craigslist, buying little odds and ends stuff, or God forbid a beater car, are mind-bogglingly stupid. Like, I can't believe these motherfuckers remember to breathe.

The worst was when I sold my old beater pickup truck...it was a heavy-duty Ram with the V-10 gas engine. A lot of these trucks are diesel, and I kept getting a lot of questions about whether it was diesel (which was dumb, as the price was far below what a Cummins truck would bring, the pictures showed the V-10 badge, and the ad said V-10).

I then edited the ad to say something like "For all those asking, this is NOT a diesel truck. It does NOT have the Cummins engine. It has the V-10 gasoline engine. It produces more torque and nearly double the power of a Cummins of the same year, but it is NOT a Cummins diesel."

I have no idea how many emails I'd STILL get asking if it was a diesel. I bet I got at least 50 emails, maybe more...probably 10 of them somehow thought it was a diesel, and most of the rest couldn't come up with the $3500 or whatever I wanted for it. One dude finally offered me $2000 cash plus an SKS, a shotgun, and an old Italian 6.5 Carcano rifle. I think I had dropped the price to $2700 because I had fucked the truck up even more by that point (the ad said something like "the only straight pieces of metal anywhere on the truck are the block, heads, and crankshaft. The frame and every body panel are all bent in various ways"), so I took it.

^i felt slightly bad when i had to cancel on a guy for the next day to come pick up my motorcycle for sale. i dont know what youre supposed to do when 2 guys say they want to buy it tho. i cant not try to sell anymore cause a guy says he wants it. the first guy could have flaked on me

last week a facepage buddy of mine got a $3300 check for a $1700 toolbox and he actually drove to the bank with it. come on man


i lost a sale possibly once on a motorcycle to guy that had usaa bank. there's no local branch for me to cash his check before i a gave him the bike. i think i did him a favor tho, if you need a loan for a $3k bike then you shouldnt be buying a motorcycle anyway

Disaster alert. Craigslist just took the personals down. Activities and General are already being spammed to death with people posting jobs, or looking for work because they don't want to pay to post a job opening. Now all of the people looking for sex are posting adds in Activities.
