pretending that you are not trolling, no not really. 100 with a 2 year contract. 400 retail, or you could ebay one for 200 like i did. usually phones like this come from business people, so they have been well maintained. and besides, you probably will get a package deal cheap on ebay, ie, phone, car charger, 2 gb mini sd card, heavy duty battery, leather case.

ALL things go down on price after a while especially with new models, moto q h9 in this case, are on the brink of release. sure this phone could use more features, or some technical updates, but it works just fine for me and many others. 18 months old or not, who cares, and why are you here, this is not chit chat, and this thread is for people who like the phone, and obviously you don't, so why not just leave and never come back? is that too hard?

mine is never sluggish, and have never heard anyone who says their's is either. i think this complaint would have been heard by now if it was really an issue. probably the test unit had so much stuff running in the background. you don't kill apps by closing them, you just hide them that way. you have to actually 'exit' them or go to the task manager and kill them.

and why would ask if the os is slow, but then in your next sentence you take the liberty to say it permanent and thats why you got a blackberry, lol. thats pretty funny.

haha sorry, by "pretty-much permanent" i just meant it didn't improve over the course of using it about 30 minutes or so (about 15 min playing w/ apps, restarting b/c it felt slow, and spending another 15-20 minutes playing w/ apps). the Blackberry was just slow loading after I restarted but was fine after that. ymmv I guess ::shrug::

pretty much anybody results would vary from that test unit. i played with the q before i got it and yeah the one in the alltel store sucked major cock. in fact ie would crash almost every time i tried to use, but it did not stop me from getting because i know good and well that they could not sell a phone (in this case) whereas the test unit was actually representative of the retail version. i just used good old common sense to make my decision and i think its a fantastic phone.

I got mine for $99 after mail in rebate with Alltel and I love the damn thing.

The NES emulator on the trio and a pocket pc just doesn't work right. :p

I do have a question though:

I stream vids, movies, etc.. from my pc to the Q with Orb (http://www.orb.com) Is there any other streaming software out there (specifically free)? Orb is ok, but I'm sure someone could do better.
