okay, here goes:

i have a 2007 chrysler pacifica (don't laugh, i really like it)

got it from the factory with an in-dash CD player, no nav since i planned on adding something later

i go to take the head unit out from the dash and i discover that there is no amp actually in the head unit, it's mounted under the rear cargo floor

i'm planning on replacing this with a car PC (7" touchscreen is going in place of the head unit) and a couple of amps.

question: is there an easy way to bypass the OEM amp and just output to the speakers? or would it be easier for me to use the OEM amp to drive the 5 channels and just get a 2 channel amp to power my subs? i looked for a harness that would do this but couldn't find much, and the factory service manual isn't really helping a whole lot.

wtf are you talking about? i spent a total of 2 minutes on their website and found that with the purchase of a radio they'll give you the adapter for free that allows the aftermarket radio to be used in conjunction with the factory amp which is one of the options you listed.
