Anyone else use this site? Pretty cool stuff, its part of the Music Genome Project

You tell it what artist and or song you like, and it creates a radio station to play music similar to that one (based on identified, quantified attributes of each songs). Then you rate songs that are played to further hone your preferences for what you want to listen to. You can create a bunch of different stations and toggle between them at will.

I love that site. Really useful when i'm too lazy to compile my own playlist for a party or deal with peoples mixed cds.

I using Pandora's Box now at work, it's useful because Firefox's memory usage would increase geometrically until I'd have to close the browser

anyone find a good hack (aka standalone player) that doesn't take up 100MB+ or memory?

Yeah, I was just coming to this thread to ask a similar question. I can start Open Pandora and the task manager and watch the memory usage climb constantly. By the end of my workday it constantly uses 100+MB of RAM on my work pc and causes it to freeze up when I try to reboot/shut down/log off. I have to go into the task manager to kill it manually every time I need to log off. Looks like there's a pretty bad memory leak there somewhere.

It took me a while to get used to it. The interface is a little funky in parts, but it's great to listen to at work.

^^ yeah thats what i noticed with OpenPandora too. I have 1 GB in the work machine, so I guess I can afford to give up 100MB it just seems like a waste
