It is not misleading. The title doesn't say "Sonics to OK tomorrow". Rome is claiming it is as good as done. ] 8/14/2007 4:56:21 PM |

it IS misleading
Quote : | "They've got 60 days to make some decisions they haven't been willing to make in the past year and if they make them in a way that satisfies Clay, then the team will stay there. If they don't meet the requirements he's laid out, the team will move, and Clay has indicated they'll come to Oklahoma City" |
and is Rome saying this is what he thinks will happen or does he have a time machine
^lol

title is misleading and I will be surprised if they actually do move to OKC. With Durant on board the attendance numbers should be up in Seattle and that will make the owners more money. 8/14/2007 4:59:36 PM |

Following a good attendance year for the Hornets in OKC, an OKC owner buys the Sonics.
The owners publically say that if the city doesn't sufficiently meet their public investment demands for an arena, they will move the team.
Owner says he would like to have the Sonics in OKC.

Seattle was 25th in attendance last year. So they don't have much to loose by switching states.

yeah, the Bobcats arena is so massive that the number of people who do attend don't even take up 0.01% of the seats. 8/15/2007 11:59:37 AM |
