i want it, but i know how i am with solely singleplayer games. i got zelda on launch day and i'm probably 10% into it. i just get bored. i'll probably rent it first. it definitely looks good though, and i hear the controls are great.

I was pumped to hear about Mother Brain too. Maybe they'll surprise us by throwing Kraid in there too since he is yet to show up in a Prime game. I'm predicting that somehow Mother Brain and Dark Samus are gonna merge. I have mine preordered too. Sucks though, my family is coming to visit the weekend afterwards and I know I'm just gonna wanna play.

Am I the only person on this board who has all the good Wii games, yet never played them.

Last week I bought Mario Strikers and have only spent 15 minutes with it. Similarly, about an hour with Super Paper Mario. Red Steel less than 30 mins. Zelda less than 3 hours.

I am sure I'll get this just to spend $20 minutes with it.

What could I do to extend my interest in games?

^^Just play the games when you get the chance. As much as I enjoy playing strikers, I would still rather spend time with my gf or be sociable with friends and stuff. It's not a big deal if you can't play them all the time.

i preordered it today.....not that it matters, since i'm sure there'll be plenty of copies available. i played the game at a gamestop (they dont have demo cd's, just the full game in the display wii's), and it was a lot of fun. convinced me that i'd enjoy it.

I was reading about the optional lock feature.

Apparently, you can set your aim to auto-lock on your opponent; however, there's also an option to still aim within the set lock mechanism. I'm not sure if that plays into the earlier comment about difficulty aiming.

This game sounds like a winner.

^ yea you can lock the screen onto the target, but still aim with the wiimote. it was causin me some problems at first but i eventually started gettin the hang of it. now on the boss fight where i had to strafe around him with speed bursts and locking on and aiming at parts of the boss....that was tough

i've played a couple fps games on the wii so far and they all felt like pure crap...this did feel really natural. that said, it still took a little time to get use to, but maybe thats just me. i did get the hang of it after a few minutes. with a bit more gameplay, i probably would've been completely adapted to it.

at first it seemed strange that they had A as the shoot button instead of B, but it makes sense after you play, cause you're mashin the button so often that frankly your thumb can hold up a lot longer than the index finger.

The worst thing about Gamespot is how their reviews of Virtual Console games. How the hell do you give Ocarina of Time an 8.9, or Super Metroid and Super Mario an 8.5? What kind of stupid fucking scale do they use to evaluate these classics? That more than anything else discredits them in my eyes.

Yeah, Super Mario (just the original) sold around 40 million copies total, and HALO sold what? 5 million?

HALO would have been a mediocre FPS if it had been released on the PC like it was originally intended to be. Microsoft just bought it up and spent tons of cash hyping it up.
