^^ yeah, I know that it was a live play, and that it was possible that the kicker could have tackled the returner blah blah blah, but the helmet on helmet was fucked up 8/15/2007 10:27:23 AM |

Definitely a cheap shot. Hopefully that Barnes dude who gave the hit doesn't make the Ravens team. 8/15/2007 11:44:04 AM |

crazy hit but that was bullcrap. guy should have been suspended for a hit like that on a kicker who isn't looking. he was clearly just tryin to hurt the kicker. 8/15/2007 3:19:36 PM |

that guy who ran up to him afterwards should've been allowed to take his helmet off and punch him in the face.

I like how at the end the announcer said something along the lines of welcome to the NFL a little different than Aussie football huh... now I may be mistaken but isnt rugby and aussie football one and the same.. that shit happens with no pads so ummm no wonder he didnt look too phased. 8/15/2007 4:52:17 PM |

i have no idea what the difference is, but aussie football != rugby. 8/15/2007 4:55:50 PM |

Haha, yeah like Aussie Football guys aren't tough.
That is pretty funny. That announcer obviously hasn't seen AFL games. Those guys are some of the hardest guys on the planet. Any Manning brother would wet himself if he stepped on the field with those guys. 8/15/2007 5:04:11 PM |

not sure about Australian Football, but I played rugby and football for years and got hit MUCH harder in football. Its true you dont have pads in rugby, but neither does the person hitting you, so hit hurt them almost as much. I would MUCH rather get hit in the gut by someones shoulder than someones shoulder pad or helmet. Also rugby is more more very little short bursts of speed and almost more of a takedown type tackle whereas football is running at full speed and just knocking the crap out of people. 8/15/2007 5:04:31 PM |

this is a flawed arguement
the same shit obviously doesnt happen
ive watched plenty of rugby
i wont say they are not tough, but your arguement "they have no pads" is retarded8/15/2007 6:42:30 PM |

you're not gonna impress anyone by leveling the kicker with a normal hit, much less going helmet-to-helmet 8/15/2007 8:08:37 PM |

I HAVE TO DISAGREE....I'VE BEEN HIT MUCH HARDER IN RUGBY...HOWEVER YOU ARE CORRECT THAT THE STYLE IN FOOTBALL IS MADE FOR HARDER HITS LIKE THAT..ESPECIALLY IN THE OPEN FIELD...HOWEVER A RUGBY GAME HAS A LOT MORE OPEN FIELD CONTACT ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A TEAM THAT KICKS A LOT8/15/2007 9:40:51 PM |
