Anyone have a particular card that you think has above average rewards? I've been looking around and the best I can find is right around 1% cash back... I've heard others talk about cards that offer 2% or 3% cash back, but havent been able to find any. 8/20/2007 12:05:40 PM |

I dont know about the best, but I've got a Discover Gas Card, with 5% cash back on gas purchases, and since gas is so damn expensive, I've got a ton of cashback rewards
and I can turn $20 cashback into a $30 coupon for Omaha Steaks, so thats FREE steaks 8/20/2007 12:14:29 PM |

hmmm, I don't think either of my credit cards gets rewards points. I have MBNA and Wachovia. I've been thinking about getting another one, just for rewards like Capital One or Discover, but I think I will wait until I either get a new credit report in September or after I graduate. 8/20/2007 12:19:51 PM |

I have the Chase Freedom and it has been pretty good for me. It gives 3% on gas, fast food, and groceries, then 1% on all other purchases. You can select either cash back or rewards points, I do the cash. At $50 you can get a $50 check or at $200 you can get a $250 check. Mine also had a $250 check as a signup bonus. I only use it for the 3% purchases, and pay it off every time I use it since like most rewards cards it has a pretty high interest rate (18.24%). 8/20/2007 1:50:46 PM |

i like the bp card
5% on gas, 2% travel and dining, 1% everything else those rebates are doubled for the first 60 days (saving 10% on gas is pretty nice) when i signed up i got $75 in gas cards for free, not sure if they still do that
