Hey all. I'm looking for a doctor that specializes in sports medicine. There were some other threads, but all the recommendations seemed to be for vag specialists. I don't have a primary physician and have graduated. I've had a recurring problem with an ankle (just twisted it again), and want to have someone other than rex's emergency unit check it out. 8/22/2007 11:10:52 AM |

My coworker played a shitton of sports throughout HS and college, and thinks quite highly of Dr. Burroughs at Raleigh Bone and Joint Clinic. I think one of their staff is the team doc for either the Hurricanes or one of the NCSU teams.

I was pleased, but I what I went for wasn't sports-related (duh )
Oh yeah: that coworker's degree is in sports medicine

I highly recommend Dr. Smith. I had an ACL injury in middle school that he helped me work through.

When I dislocated my shoulder, I went to Raleigh Orthopedic. When I broke my foot, same thing. When I tore the ligaments in my ankle, same thing. Anytime I have had a serious sports related injury, that's where I went. They also handled all my rehab. 8/22/2007 4:39:02 PM |

lol BenZ I didn't know he had a knack for tennis! And I thought it was all football!
He's a super nice guy and I liked that he actually had a background in athletics...it helps because he KNOWS what his patients are going through, in one way or another. 8/22/2007 5:26:50 PM |
